Terrible weather this week again but those that came caught well
The Scott League competition will start on the 27th April 2008 and will run until October 2008. The results from every months competitions will be recorded in a league table and at the end of the competition in October the angler with the most points will win. The competition starts at 9.30am till 4.00pm. This competition run by Karl Humphries and Hadleigh Davies will be sponsored by Scott tackle of America, some of the finest state of the art Fly fishing tackle on the market today. Cound trout fishery has just become the main agent for Scott tackle in the surrounding area and there are some very exciting products in their range, from Top of the shop, ultra fast action rods for those anglers who know what they are doing when they have a fly rod in their hands to and cracking outfit in the £150.00 band. Custom coloured sign written rods to accompany their range of coloured Nautilus reels and Rainy’s flies and Fly tying materials, plus much much more. Look out for our full range of tackle on our website, due to be included before 1st March 2008. Anyway back to the competition £25.00 six fish bags, heaviest bag wins. With many prizes from Scott tackle including rods, reels, lines, hats, fleeces and all manor of stuff to win.
It is advisable to book, but you will still be able to turn up on the day and fish it.
You can see all my big fish stocked and caught, all of them weighed and videoed, on the internet and on the Office flat screen T.V.
We have had 0 large fish out making a total of 228 big fish, have a look at every where else, I think there is not a Fishery in the Country that have had 228 Big fish out this year. There was a prize of a free lesson, Full day, Boat & Motor worth £100 for the 150th big fish caught By George Smith from Shrewsbury and there is now a prize for the 200th big fish caught, Well it was caught by Lyn Davies, so now we are having a prize for the 250th big fish caught will win the prize again. My stocking level is now a whopping 8269. With 35 rods taking 379 fish with a rod average of 10.82 fpr. We have been fishing terrible this last 2 months, but I have put all the fish out of the cage in the lake so the fishing should be amazing this week and it is absolutely tremendous, read the results. We had an amazing 1786 giving a rod average of 10 fish per rod. Pretty good for a month.
The fish are on the top and there has been some fly life hatching off with some Black midge and some olives
Flies to try are Bloodworm, Buzzers, Diawl Bach, CDC’s Para’s and Klinks. Cats Whiskers and various leeches. We should see some great top of the water sport this coming month and right through to the middle of June.

I had my first taker for the kid’s school on Sunday morning and he thought it was great and was putting out a good line by the end of the session. Please put this in the paper. Free school for under 16’s every week Sundays at 10.00 until 12.00 they can come every week and learn to cast how to fish everything. If its raining we will teach them how to make flies and I will get some guest fishermen Charles Jardine and Karl Humphries etc and if we get enough kids they can have a competition between themselves or maybe against another junior club. They may even go for the England youth team.

Cound policy on BIG Fish is that everything has to be killed, whether included in your bag where you take the fish home or catch and release where we keep the fish and donate it to local blind school or charity. I am now re-stocking every week what comes out goes back in (Including the Double’s). Watch this space. This is to kick start the arrival of our new cage which should be up and running this summer...A FREE copy of you with your fish with every big fish caught on DVD. Every stocking, Big fish caught etc all on Digi-camera and displayed on office flat screen TV.

We have been fishing brilliant last 2 months, but this last week the cold easterly breeze has put the fish off. Yesterday the weather was great and it fished its head off. The weather is supposed to pick up now so look out for some great reports... We had an amazing 1786 giving a rod average of 10 fish per rod. Pretty good for a month.

We have been fishing brilliant last 2 months, this last week the hot weather has put the fish down a little. The evening rise has come on great, they start about 8.30 ish and the usual dries are the norm
